About me

pinhole portrait inverted 1

Hello. I’m Karen and in 2016 I moved from Manchester, UK to Singapore to have a big adventure and head up a new office for the company I work for. I’m a photographer, market researcher, Mancunian, bird lover, vegetarian, smiler and lover of cheese and wine. But wine is expensive in Singapore, so maybe I’ll need to dial that down. A bit.

On my site you’ll find various ramblings about my experiences in Singapore and beyond, photography, market research and communication (a big part of my job as Managing Director at the Singapore office of Join the Dots* and things I have a particular interest in), as well as other stuff I’ll no doubt waffle on about. You’ll also find a selection of my photos, which were the reason I set up this site, although it seems to be becoming more of a blog thing rather than a photo thing. Which is fine by me, at least it’s getting used.

In 2014 I did a 365 photo project; basically one photo every day, and just about managed to keep it up. In 2016 I did a one second video every day (in 2013 and 2015 I had a rest), and I’m doing the one second thing again in 2017. You can find links to the projects on the top menu, or have a look at my blog posts for occasional witterings about life in Singapore, travelling, photos, videos, paintings and written things.

Feel free to get in touch using the form below if you want to say hello.

Hi Karen thank you so much for this amazing blog….great to fill in the gaps from what Steve told me too; but you are much better at the details!…..I loved the whole Mustang image too. It was so clear than you two loved every mile with him on that fabulous bike and you in proper air conditioning & comfort too!

Great to hear from you and thanks so much for your lovely comment! Glad you liked the blog, it was fun to write but took ages to get everything down 🙂 Yes, we had a fab time, as you can tell!

Sorry for the delay replying, am really busy with work at the moment. Hope you’re well, take care and bye for now.
